This edition captures data from 294 of the world’s leading impact investors—the most Annual Survey respondents ever—who collectively manage USD 404 billion of impact investing assets, representing an important subset of the USD 715 billion global impact investing market.

THE ECONOMIC MAPPING OF THE CULTURAL AND CREATIVE INDUSTRIES IN SOUTH AFRICA 2020

The Capstone Report is based on the three main quantitative chapters of the Economic Mapping study of the Cultural and Creative Industries 2020. The report follows the 2018 Economic Mapping Study which showed that the industry contributed R63 billion (1.5%) to the South African GDP. The 2020 study assesses the impact of the creative economy in the South African economy by looking at how the cultural and creative industries (CCIs) contribute to the economy of South Africa in terms of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and GDP growth, employment and transformation, and international trade.
